Since 2008, Sue Attrill has been serving the Chilliwack community as a member of Chilliwack City Council and has worked with numerous boards and committees; providing leadership, vision, and a great team spirit to the projects and initiatives she has worked on.
Councillor Attrill is the chair of City of Chilliwack – Public Art Advisory Committee, vice-chair of the City of Chilliwack – Agricultural & Rural Advisory Committee, and a liaison to the boards of Tourism Chilliwack, Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society, and the Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association.
Prior to her election to City Council, Councillor Attrill worked as the CEO of the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce following a 30-year career at BC Telephone Company. Currently, Councillor Attrill is the Executive Director of the Chilliwack Hospice Society.
Volunteering much of her time to serve her community, Councillor Attrill is a past president of the Rotary Club of Chilliwack – Mt. Cheam, and current member of Rotary Club of Chilliwack and Soroptimist International Club of Chilliwack.
Councillor Attrill resides in the Fairfield Island neighbourhood, and has two beautiful grown daughters, Haley and Melody. Councillor Attrill enjoys watercolour painting and cooking for friends.
